-Precision Racing K20C1 block deck guard made from 6061T6 alluminium

-Holes drilled to suit head gasket for uninterrupted maximum coolant flow to the head

-Provides strength to stock cylinder walls and prevents distortion that can cause premature head gasket failure

– Machine shop will need to fit and surface during block machining process

Block Guard Fitment & Machining Information

This block guard is designed as a press-fit component and installs directly into the block without requiring machining of the water passages.

During installation, the block guard is pressed into place where it seats against the top of the block and locks securely once fully installed.

Important Installation & Machining Notes:

• The deck guard may require slight linishing to achieve correct, tight fitment during installation.

• Deck surfacing must be machined after installation of the block guard, following normal machining practices.

• It is strongly recommended that cylinder bore work is completed after block guard installation. This may include:

  • Bore and hone, or

  • Check, measure, and hone existing bores

Following this sequence ensures correct alignment, bore geometry, and overall engine reliability.
