The Elixir 1680 is an extremely high-output brushless fuel pump system developed for serious high-horsepower petrol and E85 applications. It provides exceptional fuel delivery from a single pump while avoiding the electrical load, heat and complexity associated with running multiple conventional fuel pumps.

At Precision Racing, we have used a single Elixir 1680 to support over 2,700whp on E85 at approximately 90psi fuel pressure and 13.7V, demonstrating the capability of this pump in genuine high-power applications. Despite its enormous fuel-flow capability, the 1680 draws under 70 amps at full load in our 2,700+whp application.

The brushless motor is controlled by Elixir’s proprietary controller, allowing PWM variable pump-speed control. Pump output can be reduced during low-load operation and increased progressively as fuel demand rises, significantly reducing unnecessary electrical load and fuel heating during normal operation while retaining the fuel delivery required for extreme power levels under full load.
