The Elixir 1380 is a high-output brushless fuel pump system designed for serious high-horsepower petrol and E85 applications, offering huge fuel delivery from a single pump without the current draw, heat and complexity associated with multiple conventional in-tank pumps.

At Precision Racing, we have personally used a single Elixir 1380 to support over 2,000whp on E85 at approximately 100psi fuel pressure, making it a proven option for demanding high-boost applications.

One of the major advantages of the 1380 is its brushless motor and variable-speed control. Rather than running the pump at full output continuously, the supplied proprietary Elixir controller allows PWM variable pump-speed control, delivering fuel flow based on engine demand.

At low load and low pump duty, we typically see less than 6 amps current draw at 3 bar base pressure, increasing to approximately 55–60 amps at full load at 13.7V in our 2,000+whp applications. This significantly reduces unnecessary electrical load and fuel heating during normal driving, while still providing the fuel volume required when the engine is under full load.
