The PR Spec 390A High Output Alternator has been developed for high-powered Lamborghini Huracán and Audi R8 V10 applications where the factory charging system is no longer capable of keeping up with the increased electrical demand.

Manufactured for PR by WOSP Performance to OE-quality standards, this is a purpose-built 390A billet alternator designed to provide the additional charging capacity required by heavily modified V10 applications while maintaining OE-level fitment and reliability.

As power levels increase, so does the electrical load. High-flow fuel pumps, intercooler water pumps, additional cooling systems, engine management, ignition systems and other aftermarket electronics can place a significant load on the charging system, particularly at high engine load when many of these components are operating at maximum duty.

We commonly see battery and system voltage begin to drop during a dyno pull or sustained high-load operation on modified V10 platforms. As system voltage decreases, electrical components can require increased current to produce the same output, adding further load to the electrical system and wiring. Maintaining stable system voltage becomes increasingly important as vehicle power and electrical demand increase.

The increased charging capacity provides significantly more headroom for vehicles running large brushless fuel pumps, high-output intercooler pumps and other high-current accessories, helping maintain consistent system voltage when electrical demand is at its highest.
