Description
Turbosmart BOV Kompact EM Dual Port VR29 – Merc C63 (SKU: TS-0223-1055)
Product Overview
The multiple award-winning Kompact EM Series of upgraded Blow Off Valves is the world’s first truly plug-and-play upgrade solution for your factory diverter valve. Unplug and unbolt your OEM valve, and install a Kompact EM valve in its place. No adaptors, hoses, or extra assembly are required.
Advanced Technology
The Kompact EM Valve Series from Turbosmart takes motorsport-proven billet valve technology and adds an onboard, proprietary solenoid system and internal pressure control channels, resulting in a simple plug-and-play valve with full OE integration and control. There are no reference hoses, no separate solenoids, and no fiddly bits – just bolt-on and plug in!
Performance & Reliability
You can count on unmatched performance and reliability as a direct replacement for your factory diverter valve. The Kompact EM Valves overcome the common faults associated with plastic factory valves through our Boost-Balance Valve Design (the more boost you have, the better it seals), a positive seal O-ring on the piston’s face, and billet construction. No matter your application, the Kompact EM Series will hold more boost and be more responsive in any environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I upgrade my factory Diverter or Bypass Valve?
Factory Diverter Valves are built to a price point, not performance. Turbosmart valves overcome factory limitations with improved sealing and valve dynamics, ensuring maximum boost and response.
How does the Turbosmart Valve provide performance benefits?
The Turbosmart Range uses Unique Boost-Balance Valve Technology, a positive-seal O-ring on the piston face, and motorsport-proven billet aluminum. These features deliver the fastest response, superior boost-holding, and unmatched durability.
What is the Turbosmart Boost-Balance System?
Our valves actuate via pressure differential, not just boost. This allows a light spring for fast response while both sides of the piston share boost pressure under load. Regardless of boost level, Turbosmart Valves won’t open unless you want them to – boost and spring pressure keep them sealed.
What is the Turbosmart Positive Seal O-Ring, and why does it matter?
With Boost-Balance technology, the piston stays pressed into the valve seat under load. The Viton O-ring ensures the best seal against the body, maintaining maximum boost pressure and improving response.
Can I Vacuum or Smoke test my Kompact Valve?
You can vacuum test these valves only with a high-flow mechanical vacuum pump, not a hand pump, as it won’t replicate engine flow and gives false results. The valve’s design omits a diaphragm and side O-ring for faster sealing and flow, so smoke testing also won’t work.
How Much Horsepower will these valves handle?
More than you have. The Boost-Balance System means no leaks from excess power or boost – more boost equals a tighter seal. Only extreme builds may exceed bypass flow when open; in that case, a larger remote-mounted valve may prevent compressor surge. The valve will never vent from too much boost or power.
