In 2019, Imran purchased his 2017 white R35 GTR with only 7,000km on the clock. Although in bone stock form, Imran knew full well he would modify the car at some point to make it faster, whilst keeping it a daily he could still drive the kids to school with.
After 3 months of ownership, Imran contacted us and decided to complete our PR6 stage 2 package including optional flex fuel tuning. This netted just over 440kw at the wheels from a stock 320kw. The additional 120kw at the wheels was a massive increase and Imran was hooked!
Driving the car all the way from Melbourne to our facility in Sydney for the works, and then driving back home after 2 days with what felt like a totally new car kept a smile on Imran’s face for months to come.
Imran had friends awaiting his return, to “try” prove that their car would beat him… 1000whp Supra’s and the like, we had already told him the probable result they would have due to traction issues…. If not on a drag strip and slicked up.
Imran’s desire was to have the car run a 7 second pass. This was cookie cutter for us, being the first ones to complete 7 second R35 GTR’s in the country. We knew exactly what he needed, and Imran was set and ready! The PR16 package with optional light weight package was booked in, with Imran planning to attend race events prior to the build even starting.
Every single option was ticked on this package, and the results are there to show for it. 12 weeks total build time with the first event being GTR Festival 2021 where the car ran its very first pass with a 7.9@ 180mph – taking out quickest and fastest R35 over all at the event. This was the last car of the night and its first pass, we only had one chance to make it work and our job was done.
To say Imran was over the moon was an understatement.
Since then, the car has won Roll Racing Sydney workshop challenge, and Terminal Speed challenge, where it stood the test of time, up against the fastest “street” cars in the country built by Australia’s top workshops. Showing the ability of the R35 GTR, consistency and reliability when built correctly.
We have asked Imran what cars he had owned previously and what we can foresee in the future from him ?
“I have grown up in Peshawar, small town of Pakistan , I had modified Hondas and Toyotas when I moved to Dubai I had BMW M3, M5, Nissan 370Z and Mercedes C63S in the past.”
“I’m dreaming of going 200mph+ one day” so we may see some larger turbos and billet block in the future… who knows…”
Whilst the R35 is his dream car, an Audi R8 or Lambo is his ultimate dream car. We dare say based on the vehicles we develop, Imran will no doubt be influenced by his fellow PR race buddies and jump in on the V10 platform.
Without a doubt, he will be a top contender when he decides to do so, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to exactly how fast Imran likes his cars!
We also asked Imran the following questions for your advice.
• Following your experience what could you recommend to anyone wanting to do a similar build?
I highly suggest PR16 package because it is fun, exciting, and same time you can use the car as your daily with zero hassle.
• Short words of Advice?
Never listen to losers, always have a dream, and go get it.
• What would be the next car you would like to build?
6 to 12 months I am planning to go for an R8 or Lambo
