Precision Racing HT2 Camshafts – Ford Falcon xr6t Barra
Description
If you think you’ve gone as far as you can with bolt-on mods or are rebuilding your late model Falcon, it’s time to consider the benefits that only high-performance camshafts can bring.
Camshafts are a critical part of the way your engine behaves, put simply, your camshafts effect idle quality, and power band. What this means is if your factory cams are already working efficiently (like the Barra), adding cams with a larger duration and lift may not increase your peak power, instead it just shifts your power band, generally raising where your peak power is made.
Our Billet Barra cams have been computer designed and developed to complement the factory cylinder heads airflow characteristics, they have a split duration and slightly more lift, so typically speaking you can gain some response as well as extend rpm band, this gives you a higher Average power and torque band!
HT1 & HT2 cams are drop in units and can be used with our Vernier gears or with the factory VCT depending on ECU! Results are very similar between the two, the only difference being idle with the HT1 being more sedate. We recommend Crow Cams 1809-24 Valve Springs to be used with these cams.
-BA ECU is recommended to run Vernier Gears
-BF/FG Manual/T400/Power glide can run either VCT or Vernier Gears
-BF/FG Auto Recommend Vernier Gears if you’re after a consistent idle, VCT can be used however idle can be inconsistent and annoying
HT3 Cams are BIG! They require extensive cylinder head work and are only required if you are going to be making power to 8000rpm+
Drivability of your ZF Car will be compromised if tuned with cams!
Please note: The PR Adjustable Vernier Cam Gears option is in exchange for your factory cam gears. Please send to 7/59-61 Edward St, Riverstone NSW 2765.
