APR 1.8T Gen3 ECU Upgrade

APR Stage I ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications, and produces 234-245 HP with 273-301 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 65-80 HP and 78-107 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band.

To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intakeintercooler, catback exhaust and other small modifications without requiring any new modification to the ECU.


APR Stage II ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage II ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power! This upgrade requires a FWD Race DP or AWD Race DP, and produces 246-247 HP with 275-301 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 75-80 HP and 80-107 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band.

To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intakeintercooler, catback exhaust and other small modifications without requiring any new modification to the ECU.


APR IS20 Turbo Upgrade

This ECU Upgrade requires the factory IS20 turbocharger, found on the MK7 GTI, and seperate ECU Upgrades are available for use with the factory DP exhaust system or a FWD Race DP or AWD Race DP.

With the factory exhaust DP it produces 274-306 HP with 308-326 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 104-136 HP and 113-138 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band.

With a FWD Race DP or AWD Race DP it produces 284-319 HP with 311-330 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 114-149 HP and 117-145 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band.

APR highly recommends the vehicle be outfitted with an upgraded intake and intercooler. To get more power the vehicle can be outfitted with a catback exhaust and other small modifications 


APR 2.0 TSI/TFSI Gen3 ECU Upgrade

APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications and produces 290-337 HP with 320-375 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 60-115 HP and 51-103 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band (210 PS Model), depending on octane and torque level. Optionally a low torque version of this software is available that puts less stress on the factory clutch. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intake, intercooler, catback exhaust, turbocharger inlet, and various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.


APR Stage 2 ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage 2 ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power! This upgrade requires an APR Race DP and produces 334-351 HP with 338-392 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 110-117 HP and 93-120 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band (210 PS Model), depending on octane and torque level. Optionally a low torque version of this software is available that puts less stress on the factory clutch. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded intake, intercooler, catback exhaust, turbocharger inlet, and various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.

APR Stage 2 is available with either the factory exhaust crackle, where available, or a more aggressive “Pops and Bangs” exhaust crackle on most ECUs. This more aggressive option lengthens the duration of the exhaust crackle, increases the volume slightly, and operates in more modes, such as lifting off the throttle and changing gears. This is only enabled in sport/race modes and will automatically disable should exhaust and component temperature become too high.


APR Stage 3 IS38 Turbo Upgrade

The APR Stage 3 IS38 ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power! This upgrade requires a factory Golf R/S3 IS38 Turbocharger, an APR Race DP, APR Intake System, and APR Intercooler System and produces 395-397 HP with 334-403 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 170-172 HP and 138-149 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band (210 PS Model), depending on octane and torque level. Optionally a low torque version of this software is available that puts less stress on the factory clutch. To run the high torque version of this software, and APR TCU Upgrade may be required on 6 Speed DQ250 DSG/S Tronic Models. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with a catback exhaust, turbocharger inlet, and various other bolt-on modifications all without requiring any new modifications to the ECU.

APR Stage 3 IS38 is available with either the factory exhaust crackle, where available, or a more aggressive “Pops and Bangs” exhaust crackle on most ECUs. This more aggressive option lengthens the duration of the exhaust crackle, increases the volume slightly, and operates in more modes, such as lifting off the throttle and changing gears.
